Need help, sub issue

Sorry I had to take care of kids last night. Walk your fingers around the spiderlanding and see if its broke away from the basket at all.

If you cant find any thing wrong with sub check box. See if you blew it apart.

so I took the sub out and it looks perfect but I free aired it on low volume and there is a rattling noise coming from right under the dust cap. I have never even heard of anyone having this problem before so idk what is wrong with it

hey man i have a friend who has 4 of those aluminum coils running off 2 aq 3500's. i know he just had to recone 1. i'll see if this is the problem he was haveing with it. i'll find out out for you when i get ahold of him later.

Either a joint coming apart (the ones Thor described) or something loose stuck up in there rattling around. If you're careful you can pry/cut off the dustcap. If you screw it up you can get dustcaps for 5$ or so. Amazing Goop glue will stick a dustcap back on.

My guess was also spider at the landing (the outside where it glues down) or at the tripple joint (where the botom of the cone, coil former, and spider all come together).

Also could be some debris in the gap (roasted a sub the other day from this.....it happened by whomping on it with a dustcap half blown off LOL) but that would rub if you just pushed the cone with your hand.
