i have a 2 ohm 12 inch L7 in a small sealed box which is kinda beat up and needs to be replaced now. a lot of my friends and people i know have told me that for a sub like that i need a bigger ported box and built to specs which makes sense, others have told me a small sealed box is the best because it keeps the bass tight and loud. i like how it sounds but i really dont want to damage the sub because of the enclosure its in so which enclosure should i go with and should it be ported or sealed? p.s. i am also looking for somebody who can make me the enclosure in the n.y. n.j. area. (i am using a jl 1000/1 amp and its going in the trunk of a 2000 honda civic sedan even tho i dont want to make it exactly for my car because i want to sell the car soon). all help is appreciated and here is a pic of the sub and box as it sits today.
