Need a little help!

i have a audiopipe ap30001d amp and i am wanting to hook it up to 1 re audio 18". Do i need to hook the sub up for 4ohm to get a 2 ohm load from the amp? the sub is dual 2ohm or 4ohm.

What exactly are you trying to do? Is your sub a dual 2 or a dual 4 ohm woofer?

you dont hook the sub to anything to get nything from the amp.. im confused.. the sub and amp are going to be at the same load.. if you have a 2 ohm woofer you can wire to like 1,2,4 and 4 your options are 2,4,8 i believe.. however you wire the woofer thats what the amp is at...

well what it is every time i have tried to wire the sub up to the amp it goes into protect mode. So i don't know what i am doing wrong so i what i was trying to find out is how to wire the sub up to get the correct load from the amp. Does that make anymore sense i hope. I just want to make sure i hook the sub up the right way. So what do you think would be the best way to wire it to the amp?

what coil configuration?? dual 2 ohm dual 4 ohm..?? you probably got dual 2s and wired to .5 .. did you go red to red and bvlack to black then one red and one black to the amp?? on a 2 ohm sub?? if you got a 4 ohm do like i just said.. better yet.. here...

keep it above 1 ohm unless you for sure have a 1 ohm stable amp... and if its a uge amp might need solid electrical too.. need alot more infoe on your setup.. amount of subs.. configuration of subs.. and amp

No it doesn't make sense because your terminology is confusing people. The amp doesn't have a load. The amp pushes power to a speaker. The speaker is the load. The load can vary based on impedance (ohms) of the speaker. The audiopipe is 1 ohm stable stereo 2 ohm mono. We news you to tell us what is the impedence of you voice coils to help you
