'93 Corolla Hatch (AU) Rear speaker replacement

Hey guys,

I'm currently replacing the sound system in my 93 Corolla Hatch, and I've gotten to the rear speakers.

As you can see from the attatched photo, they're bolted on to a mount. How can I remove them from the mount without wrecking anything?

looks like a rivet of sorts, try taking a skinny screw driver and putting it in the hole on the bottom side and hitting the screw driver with a hammer.

Thanks dumple, I just ended up drilling it out, then spent the last two hours trying to get the bastards to fit my new Polk speakers. Got there in the end and sounds good enough for the effort.

next time you're in there, make a seal around the speaker and a seal between the speaker and panel/grill. you want to ensure the rear of the speaker is airtight relative to the cabin.
