Good God.
I have all the tools I need. It's not a tool thing. I'm OK with being called "not a car audio guy". As for time, I work 8-10 hours a day, drive 1 hour each way in the DC/Baltimore traffic mess, have a 2 year old and a 4 year old, I'm on the road travelling almost every other week, and have a slew of home improvement projects/honey-do list items that I need to get knocked off.

If choosing to spend my limited free time with my kids over learning the intricacies of subwoofer box design, and building one makes me a worthless non-contributor who doesn't deserve to have a nice system to listen to for my 2 hours I spend on the road each day, then so be it.

Youre just a worthless non contributor to this forum as far as I'm concerned.

I have no problem with you having and enjoying a nice system. Car audio is obviously not your big passion in life. It shouldn't be.....you have kids.

And I also work a 10 hour a day job, own a house, built a 900 square foot deck (the correct way with some big ****** footers) this summer, and have tons of work I do on my house. But I still build my own systems.....because car audio is my thing and not just something I pay to have and listen to.

I used to drive pieces of **** til they died too...but I got left stranded on the side of the highway a few times too many driving through various states. Now with the kids, it just ain't worth it. So, now the wife and I both have something reliable, and I still have the toys to screw with.
