My planned system, got some questions :D

Subs; SKAR audio, SSA, IA, Sundown, Zed, Audio Que.
Amps; Hifonics (only good thing the make) MB Quart, Audio Que, Sundown. Hifonics makes one of the best, cheaper amps on the market. Or check ebay for a better deal.

If you haven't thought of it here are some other things you will need:

2 gauge power wire with a 2 gauge ground (make sure you have a fuse for the power wire)

speaker wire go with the lowest gauge you can fit in your subs.

you don't have to but its nice piece of mind to go ahead and do (big three upgrade)

3/4 MDF one sheet or two depending on the size of the box and what kind. Go with a vented box of some sort.

Dimensions, you can ask me for some if you willing to build your own box.

quality deck (assuming you already have)

RCA's i recommend Knu Konceptz for RCA's and Power wire.

Since you have a honda i would recommend some Audio Wrap
Okay Final breakdown with everything specced.

2 Massive Audio V12 subs wired to 2 ohms running at 300 watts RMS per sub 600 watts RMS total

Audio Pipe APSM-1300 wired to 2 ohms 600 watts RMS /2 = 300 watts RMS per sub

Atrend E12DSV Dual 12' Ported Box 1' MDF Front paneling, 3/4' Sides, Top Back, Bottom Sub Box 1.6 CU ft per sub

KnuKonceptz 4 Gauage Amp Wiring Kit with 80 amp fuse

Questions for this build:

1. I've heard the Kenwood subs I listed above hitting with a little distortion, my lowest hitting song, Poor Mans Hydraulics - E40. If the Kenwoods Hit it with little Distortion, should these Massive Audio's eat the bass for breakfast?

2. At 300 watts RMS, will these things pound? I want to be heard from a block away, but I also want nice decent very high quality bass

3. Isn't 4 gauge wiring enough for this setup? The amp shouldn't be running more than a 60 amp fuse, and the wiring kit comes with a 80 amp fuse.

4. How much extra RMS can these subs take before it being ANY type of problem, because if I can, I want to push these subs to there near limit, I don't want to have to worry about upgrading to be louder, I wanna pound from the get go!!!!

ANY thoughts on this build, any at all?

not sure on that... but its ur money ur build... u wont like the box... the subs more than likely wont get very low... amp is okay.. i would get dual 4ohm subs and wire to 1ohm

What you have is a good beginner build. But I RECOMMEND you build your own box. Those boxes are junk. You can get a full sheet of 3/4 MDF from lowes or home depot for about $32.99. I can help you with a box build if you want. I have a program to build and design boxes. If your getting those subs, I can build you a box tuned to 33hrtz that would slam for those subs. If you pay for the wood, and supplies I will build you a box and ship it to you for $50. Cheap yea I know. But im trying to help you out.

How much would it be if you built the entire box including getting the material. Just give me a good estimate of the total cost, because I would definitely like maximum slap especially in the low bass region. And that Atrend Box is known to be tuned around the mid 60hz region, which is bad I would assume. And could you also tell me why tune it at 33hz precisely? How does tuning a box work?

Along with wood costs, if you don't have the tools to cut the wood from the palettes and or router/jig to cut the hole, titebond II wood glue, clamps or wood screws, it'll run you more than 32.99, depending what you need could be about 100 or more if tools are needed.

I'm not gonna read all the posts, I only read the first page. But everything you listed is atrocious. I am a college student, a broke one with a lot of bills. I did my research, and bought used gear. I got my sub, and both amps for $300. I just shopped around and was patient for what I wanted. Haven't had a single problem with any used equipment, just be sure about who you're buying from. Most the sellers here are trustworthy, and if you have a question about their credibility, ask around. The size or type of sub or whatever isn't going to dictate how "low" or "punchy" your bass is. That is dependent upon the install, and the enclosure.

If you want a great deal on a subwoofer and quality enclosure, I'd look into Skar's package deal, which is a single 10, 12, or 15" sub in a custom ported enclosure, shipped to your door for $199, $209, or $249 respectively.

what are the box specs for that? i'm thinking about switching out my sundown and my amp and get a smaller amp and just put a skar in my box. my box is a 1.75 cubic feet tuned to 33 hz. can't get a much bigger box than that in my space do you think the skar would work well in there?
Mine is alil small actually for the sub it wants more... 1.7 before displacement after displacement around 1.3-.4 tuned to around 34hz... I'm going to build a bigger box try to net 2cubes with more port area and tuned lower, sub facing up, port facing back into the cabin of the car

Also I am home now and uploading the vid I made today will have it linked up in about 30mins to an hour...

the vid i post was the skar on a hifonics bx1500d was a very good amp... but since I have a dvc 2ohm i could only use it at 1ohm or 4ohm 4ohm was enough to push it pretty good... 1ohm at 1500 which i'm guessing it done around 1300-1400watts really was alil much on my electrical and with the box size was to much for the sub.. right now on 1k with the box it is **** near perfect. but i think with a bigger box on 1k more port area it will be more effecient(sp?) and hit the lows even harder and alot cleaner..

Hey I actually have built a box like that I have the dimensions on my computer if you want them. It will fit good in the trunk right behind your back seat facing the cab. Just PM me if you want the specs.

do you think a skar would get about as loud as my sundown? on the sundown i have it getting around 1000 watts and its too much on my car's electrical. if i get a skar i'd probably get an aq 1200 maybe and itd be getting around 800 watts probably less. cuz right now the sundown is pretty loud especially for 1 12 but i wanna get something that doesn't need 1000 watts to get loud

Honestly I can not say.. I've yet to play with a Sundown.... I wouldn't mind if I could get one pretty cheap... I would be very one sided to say yes or no without testing each side by side... the only thing I can say is I had a guy want to trade me his sa for my skar after he sat in my car afew months ago... but his setup could of been done wrong.. box/amp etc... So with that I would not say yes or no to your question because I honestly do not know...

Save some money up and do it right. If you want some nice SQ along with some SPL I'd suggest you look at Obsidian. If you are more interested in lound look at Skar. Take a look at MB Quart Onyx amps. I'm on a roll right now, don't clip them ******* and they will sound as good as anything else you can buy. Budget some decent money for your front stage, that is where the music comes from. DLS RM 6.2 is the direction I'd point you in. You can get a decent head under 200 dollars.
