my parents bought me a system....

They bought me two american bass dx154 15" subwoofers, american bass SQ1150 monoblock, DB LINK 4 gauge amplifier kit and a carpeted 3/4" mdf wood box 34” W X 21”D X 15” H to hold them...

Is this system a good setup?

Or should I just keep it in the packaging it came in and sell it?

Use it as a learning system.That way when you get more expensive equipment it will be safe....er.

it may be to you, but stay on any car audio forum for more than a couple days, especially diyma and you'll see that it is not.

But compared to the $1000 amps and $800 subs some of us play with it is not so much.

well I know its worth more than $200.. but I do wanna mod the S I need cams valves retainers ect.

Its a good first set up. Way better then Xplodes and crap you see. I may have missed it but is the box ported? If so it may be tuned high. I would personally sell the box on CL for some money towards a custom built box. I can design one for you then you can just get MDF and supplies and do it yourself.
