What is a pwk design? Is it like a type of design or is it just the person/company that marks up the design? And did you build the whole thing yourself and carpet it yourself too? How did you get the sundown logo on the carpet? Or is that like painted into the carpet? Lots of dumb questions but I'm new to box building..... Only built 2 before and trying to learn... Haha gunna be making a new one in a few weeks...

- I had help with this build as all of my tools are in storage until I move into my new house later this summer. The Sundown logo is a custom metal plate I had made from a picture I downloaded on my PC. It's 1/32" thick sheet metal with 1/8" thick plexi over the top of it to protect it. It is flush mounted over the carpet...

decent output and pretty flat response across the freq band are supposed to be the benefits. Normal ported would be louder overall in most cases, but not as flat/musical.
Some of his enclosures are rather big and some DD/AQ guys have had trouble with overexcursion on relatively low power. I've built a lot of his designs...

In other words, this design style would be perfect for my X-12 because of the bl on the X subs. They are meant to be pretty flat in response so having this style box would make it better. Btw, I'm never on here so idk who pwk is

pwk is an enclosure designer, but like I said before there are many many good designers & builders around this forum who can design good enclosures for much cheaper, & also build & ship them out to you at very reasonable prices //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

yeah, high excursion and FS of 24hz lol. yeah, its "supposed" to act like a barrel and really move some air. also, im assuming you have an 18" btl? what motor? 8ft is a little on the large end.

It's the N2 motor and I've seen bigger on them 8ft^3 is in the specs regaurdless 4.5-8ft^3. I have it in a 7 right now and it sounds amazing.

Just an update pic... Installed with my my Cadence DCA2500.1 in my trunk ( Only giving it 800 @ 2 )... I'm VERY HAPPY with this so far, this single 12" SA has really proved it's self to me, I honestly didn't think I'd be as happy as I am with it being just 1 single 12 - in a TRUNK, but this setup sounds gr8... I know this is an OLD thread, but I thought I might as well update it even though this setup has changed from the original plan... Here is what I ended up with - I took my temporay sub out that I was using and I gotta say that used SA-12 D4 gets down pretty good for what it is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif - So on to the change: Tantric HDD - 12" D2 Full Carbon Upgrades & Powder Coated Basket Bought Used From Skip01 (I didn't get the chance to have a new decal plaque made so I just printed something out on my printer and stuck it in there for now lol) - Enjoy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

IKR it's a shame that pretty basket is hidden lol - That may change in the future though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Sound wise it sounds very good SQ wise as did the SA - which is pretty good by my standards and for what I listen to and use my sub(s) for - except with a bit more impact and overall punch felt from the sub - I'm very happy this thing looks sick and sounds great. I do have to say though that those Sundown SA-12's can definitely hold their own - Mine was used when I got it and it is still in perfect functioning condition and looks the same as it did when I received it - And I USED that sub a LOT lolz

I am half tempted to buy the other one off of him and do just that lolz - Right now I have it on an older Cadence Daytona DCA2500.1 - I know what you're thinking right now lolz - Cadence - WTF?! but that is by far one of my absolute fave amps - VERY efficient, >500 damping, VERY CLEAN power, and it's built like a fkn tank - I'm going to try and find another one so I can strap em and add another HDD in the future 4 sure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
