He didn't give me the actual "tune" per-say, but he told me to set my SSF to around 28-30, so my guess would be around 34-36-ish, but in my trunk it has no problem hitting nasty low notes (My Orion does not have SSF, bring on the lows!!! LOL)

hmm.. does the port wrap around the back and gradually flare? because i see few designs with the sub so close to the port like that unless its a flare style port

edit: aha! i knew it. those box designs do wonders my friend. i have a flare 15" box i built was doing 147dbs on 1600watts.

well for an SA, yes. for An X 12, might not be the case. with that subwoofer being designed for high excursion. it will do well

for sure.i dig. mine was a 15" HDC3 with aluminum coil upgrade. it impressed me for a single 15". great design. assuming this is going in a hatch or SUV?

Word don't know much about the X I guess. Also didn't realize it was a flare design so the port just looks bigger. Should do well on some lows I want to do a 8ft^3 @ 30hz kerfed for my btl 100+ sqin port.

yeah, high excursion and FS of 24hz lol. yeah, its "supposed" to act like a barrel and really move some air. also, im assuming you have an 18" btl? what motor? 8ft is a little on the large end.
