Yeah this box is too big for an SA, but it doesn't sound bad at all surprisingly LOL... Right now it's in a trunk loading off of the rear of the vehicle with the rear seat center armrest ported through to the interior...

no doubt it sounds good. just easily over powered. be careful of lower frequencies, less back pressure to control excursion.

My btl n2 18 was in 8 cubes tuned to 32 and loved the kx2500 that was driving it! Clean sound and got loud. Oh and by the way nice box and keep us tuned when you get that x I am very curious about them

Are these PWK boxes the ****? Seen a few in the last 24 hours with no bad so far. Have not heard of this horn design, looks like something to look into instead of bandpass.

My btl n2 18 was in 8 cubes tuned to 32 and loved the kx2500 that was driving it! Clean sound and got loud. Oh and by the way nice box and keep us tuned when you get that x I am very curious about them

- PWK seems to be hit or miss from what I can tell with others, I was just curious about it, so I gave it a shot (That & I enlisted his services B4 I started coming to this forum...) There are many capable designers / builders around here to help assist you with your needs who won't charge as much as PWK / if at all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif This is most def a design intended to benefit a high excursion sub though, no doubt... Looking to do something of the same as far as excursion amounts go, as long as this Z series lives up to the name may grab one or two of em, NS not quite my quality but yes, there will be plenty of air moving. These flared horn designs are good for this type of woofer?

What is a pwk design? Is it like a type of design or is it just the person/company that marks up the design? And did you build the whole thing yourself and carpet it yourself too? How did you get the sundown logo on the carpet? Or is that like painted into the carpet? Lots of dumb questions but I'm new to box building..... Only built 2 before and trying to learn... Haha gunna be making a new one in a few weeks...

any box designers know or have experience with the horn port design? can it be better for high excursion subs?

decent output and pretty flat response across the freq band are supposed to be the benefits. Normal ported would be louder overall in most cases, but not as flat/musical.

Some of his enclosures are rather big and some DD/AQ guys have had trouble with overexcursion on relatively low power. I've built a of his designs...
