My install's coming along nicely

The H800 like the MS-8 will process surround sound with a single full range signal. With 5.1 there is no fader. The rears are covering the out of phase L/R information. And the Mono information goes to the center channel. I would advice from my experience, if you are not running a center stick to no rears.
You're correct...but in the context of the PXA input '5.1' just corresponds to the input channel capabilities...you can assign the outputs to a configuration other than 5.1. You're absolutely right about the rear channels of the 5.1 ' processed' output though.

I advice souldrop and losisatool to just stop responding to this fkface entirely and so will I.
I've been trying....but sometimes he says the stupidest crap, and I can't help myself.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif besides forum seems a bit dead without adulbrich around...

I have rear speakers mostly just because Chrysler provides very nice mounts for 6x9's back there. And they DO sound phenomenal when you put your head between them, as if I lay the driver's seat back a lot! My "front stage" at this point is basically the door 6x9s and the top of the dash 5.25" rounds running off the Alpine CDE-153BT HU. I'm having my installer guy run a second unused at this point 14AWG speaker wires to the top of the dash for future front stage expansion! I need to pull the windshield to do a proper job of speaker cabinetry up there. And WHEN I get another vehicle I will do that!

Can you show me any documentation on 5.1 amps rear channels being processed? I don't doubt you but the evidence should be at your fingertips if you know so well, I'd think. please? Sounds like you have experience with it.

Need to pull the windshield lmao:crazy:

It would make fabricating and installing a genuine speaker cabin up there a LOT easier. I had to buy a cheap Chinese JUNK angle screwdriver thing to get the 5.25"ers in their cheap factory mounts in their present locations. I could fabricate SO much better if I pulled the windshield. It;s that acute an angle. Are you familiar with the 2006 Grand Caravans and how they are built? I am, I own one.

The evidence is indeed at my fingertips...and yours as well. Do a little research yourself. The actual sound of the rear channels will vary between different surround processing algorithms...but the rear channels are typically an attenuated ambient fill and dedicated directional information. But you seem skeptical of just about anything anyone here says so....good luck with your 'nicely coming along' install.

Then what you are saying is really that Caraudio.com is pretty worthless for good and true useful information. Which I am finding out a LOT!
