there is a link to one like it.. 4grand is a reasonable price for that bike and it is in MINT condition make sure that the rider took care of the bike tho

just a nice clean looking bike //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

look @ that dam mileage....i want like 6k or less miles
that was the bike listed on ebay mine only has 12k on it.. and for a 1999 that aint bad but he is asking to much for it for that many miles i just wanted to give you an example but its a good starter bike its not brand new so if u dump it or anything its not a big deal.

its only a 600 but it will get up and go

how does servicing go on these bikes...like what kinda mileage should you stay away from...how much per year is considered good? like a 2002 should have around X miles on it etc....how often is an oil change, tire change needed

Yea, used sports bikes... that is a big no-no for me. A lot of the little 600's are ragged to piss from kids learning how to ride a sports bike. And then once they mess them all up by learning and get confotable with them, they rag the piss on them again by rompin on them all the time because they feel the need for a bigger bike. When you settle down with a bike you plan on keeping for a while, get a new one. There not that expensive at all. And BTW, it's not the bike you need to really worry about riding, it's everything else around you. You can know your bike inside and out and be 100% confotable on it, but if you lack the motorcycle experience of the open roads, things will be bad. Riding a motorcycle on public roads and highways is WAY different from driving a car, way more than just the physical apsects.

yeah....is there any way i could pick up any new 600 or 650cc for 6000 cash?
Sure, I don't think they're that much more than that. You can put $6K down and finance 1-2K, pay it off in 6 monthes. Or look for a trade-in. Go talk to your local dealer, but don't let them push you around, be confident.

nah dont wanan finance this at all....i wanna walk in with an evelope full of money and leave with a bike...im already leasing a car i hate making payments on things

You wont find many 600s (at least 06, 07 models) for 6000. I looked at a ton of different bikes before i ordered my R6 and most are around 7-8 starting and go up into the 9-9500 range. The R6 I bought was 9400 and the new cbrs are around there. I know the R6S is a bit cheaper as with the katana and honda f4i, but i dont think $6000 cheap. I think you will have to go used for that type of a price especially when you add in tax title liscence with a new bike.

Every bike shop varies quite a bit, some are thousands more/less than others for the same exact bike. It's all about supply and demands and compition. Try look for new 2005-2006 that have never left the showroom floor, usually those are marked down quite a bit.
