Patience on a bike will save your life:fyi: You can almost always get back what you paid for a 250/500 ninja because a lot of people want them for beginner bikes. You should too:fyi:see thats the thing...i dont have anywhere near the funds or patience to get a 250 try it out...ride it, lay it down or sell it, pick up a 650 or something and go from there....a friend of mine got a 600 after taking the safety driving course...he said for the first few months he took it easy, never rode on the highway and went from there and it turned out ok
Oh, heh. I was thinking you were some spoiled kid out to blow money on this. I had no idea you were getting a larger bike for the same reason I am. In that case good luck and check out ebay. Nearly every bike you can arrange to see in person and there are so great finds there this time of year. Sometimes a gem or two will show up on Craigslist too.see thats the thing...i dont have anywhere near the funds or patience to get a 250 try it out...ride it, lay it down or sell it, pick up a 650 or something and go from there....a friend of mine got a 600 after taking the safety driving course...he said for the first few months he took it easy, never rode on the highway and went from there and it turned out ok
I know your are all in to the crotch-rockets around here (yes I was to, in my younger days) but now it's pure muscle, 100% American Made Harley Davidson. Twin-Cam 1450cc w/ andrews cams. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif Fast, loud and nasty, thats the way it is when you get old like me. My back would kill me getting back on a rocket. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif but I do miss it. If you go with a crotch rocket you must get the busa, no doubt about it. Here is a pic of my 02' Lowrider.
You are kidding right? Your telling someone who would be a novice to get one of the fastest street bikes out there (I know, its not the fastest but still the point is there)?!?! Thats plain dumb. Start off smaller (as my above post said) then after a year get a newer, faster bike.
Not to mention, there is a high possibility that you are going to lay this down. Wouldn't you rather lay down a cheaper bike?
Lots of times to be funny. I would say this isn't one of them. If this is your first bike look at a some of these (sv650, ninja 250, perhaps a good 500) Don't even think about R1 or 750's etc. Some people get the "oh I can start off slow till I get used to it". Those bikes basically have starting speed and fast...not much in between.
