My first install ever... 03 ford focus se

Same car as what my girlfriend has, we couldnt find a spot in the firewall either so I ran it the same way you did //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif That just shows you what shitty shops are around here, they told me it would be fine XD. Anyone have experience with this car and know a spot the wire can go without any drilling preferably?
In a Focus, unless you have a 5 speed, theres a place in the drivers side where there's just a little plastic panel you can drill through, no problem.
Also, if you want a proper ported box on the cheap, let me know. I'll hook you up.
you've cleary have not worked the ford focus. on the focus you have to drill a hole. there are many cars that require you to drill a hole.

Too fast Focus on working on Focus's.No your not, I have had quite a few systems in my 06 ST.

Thing is when my back was fuxored and I had my system put in they must have drilled a hole in my firewall, because I fit my 0/1g Knu wire through there without problems.

OP, the Focus is one of the easiest cars to work on. Don't be afraid to pull back the plastic, just be patient and work with it and it will come off. Mine comes off quite fast now, lol!

People here are giving you good advice and saving you a headache for later on.

I would run bigger wire, run the wire the right way and bingo bango.

Equipement looks good for starting out. Enjoy!

Thank you for your advice and i plan on upgrading to 4 gauge wire as soon as i get money for it and im going to have the wires reran within the week hopefully

i ran the wire under the trim panel other than the remote for now because what i did with the remote was ran it from the hu like normal but put a switch in between for the purpose of quick bass kills when i see cops... and the remote wasnt long enough to be ran the way i wanted it to so i had to run that in the middle... should only be a few weeks before i get a 4 gauge kit... i also ran my ground with the little bit of 8 gauge welding wire i do have. but power is still 12 gauge. i need some suggestions on how to run 4 gauge to my amp which only takes 8 gauge without buying a distro block should i just solder 8 guage to the end of the power and ground?

We all start somewhere. I remember I didn't know a remote wire was ran to the radio.. so I ran it to the battery and had toggle switches to turn it on and off. I also ran it through the door jam and had a crappy boss amp with a weak ground that had a ton of engine noise. Your installs will get better with time. Please listen to these guys and fix that power wire ran through the door. I saw a car at the track a few years back catch on fire because of a junk install. I am sure you don't want to burn your parents car down. I am glad you fused it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
