You're only giving it 1000 watts!? If so, that's your problem.

No no, I blew the 100 amp fuse...which I HEARDDDD (underline that) means your pushing at least 1000 watts. Im using an autotek stealth 1600.1 at half gain running at 1 ohm.

So you really don't know how much power you're sending it...but that shouldn't make a difference with the problem you're experiencing.

Try moving the box around? Perhaps you're getting a weird cancellation effect...and you still haven't answered my question about where the Xovers are set.

Say he is sending it only 1000 watts. You don't think that would have a big effect on everything? In that size box, if he's sending 1k watts, he's starving that xxx terribly and not getting it to its potential.

Kinda sounds like my situation, i have the sx15 in a 3.6 @ 33 with HF1605D. It's kind of a one note wonder. Certain songs will rock your face off, but some just sound like baby poop wraped in cat poop.

yaa i hear you on that.. Im not sure where the crossover is set...BUT...where should it be set at about?

I wont turn the gain up, because When im pounding it for about 10 min. I can start to smell something starting to heat up...dunno if its the amp, or the voice coils..but it makes me nervous, seeing as I do not have a warranty on this sub. Also...on my radio..it sounds like the sub starts to approach Xmax at about 21 on my radio..because as I turn it up to 25-26...the sub gets a little louder...but more so the components and the interior music gets louder, faster...and at that point it doesnt sound like the sub is getting any louder.........I have this box in my back seat by the way...not in my trunk...tried it on both sides of the back seat, and it didnt really make a difference in sound.

like what...the impedence rise which is mentioned all the time to check...NOTTT, as this is like the first time ive heard of it approaching 1200 posts, and what the crossover is set at...which someone can tell me where to set it at, I can take a little screwdriver, go downstairs and change it...

Not to knock you or anything, but perhaps you should know where all your settings are before saying the sub doesn't live up to your expectations?

Maybe I'm overly harsh.
