My 15" XXX Review....was interesting...

Wow...you know little about what you speak of //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

SPL compeditors who dont take impeadance rise into account when desiging an SPL enclsoure often pay the price when competition time comes around, a 5-10dB price in some cases.

Now of course this is in extreme cases. A frimd of mine had an L7 12 in a ported enclosure tuned reletively high, the impeadance spike in that car with that enclosure made any beat near tuning about half as loud as 1/2 octave above. which is opposite from what generally happenes.

ok, as far as the box is concerned.....besides having a leak in the box...is there any other reason why the box wouldnt perform...I tried to round all the corners as much as I could with bondo ( i know, not the best way...but better than none right) I blew a 100 amp fuse so I believe that means that Im pushing around 1000 watts to it...didnt sound like it was getting distorted at that point.
You're only giving it 1000 watts!? If so, that's your problem.

Umm, well.Hate to burst your bubble but we're not talking about an SPL set-up.We're talking about a daily driver in case you can not read.

wouldnt tune higher + bigger box= more SPL
Well, didn't you say you weren't pleased with the output?

I also said smaller box btw... which would make the sound more punchy, just like tuning higher would. Basically they would make it sound less sloppy and more punchy which is what you said you were lacking. You would also gain some output.
