4-7-07 morning hours

got the rest of the wires crimped, hooked up to the bars. Secured the bars to the baffle with a regular machine nut and used a locking nut behind that so it wont come off. Got the 2nd battery in and the negative wires connected to the batt, I may need to go to home depot and get longer bolts for the battery.

heres the negatives all connected and the longer wires shooting out the hatch are for the amps.

another shot

now for the positive

another shot

its the ATTACK OF THE KNU SPIDER

went to home depot purchased 1" 3/8" coarse thread bolts for the kinetik batt got the negative hooked back up and than the positive. The family and I had to go to walmart so i picked up some more cheap brushes/sandpaper/2 sided tape. I got the plastic compartment piece back in and cut the carpet. Now its just mounting the amps and working on the enclosure.

pics of the connections

threw some wire ties on them, to keep them secure

storage compartment in

carpet cut

double sided tape, this $hit is strong thanks for the product recomendation Tyler aka Sutterkain

I thought I had the battery hole all thought out. Here is the pic of the hole from earlier in the build The plan is to be able to take the 2nd battery out easily for drag events since street A requires 1 battery since theres a few shows that have all 3 sanctions, I have to take it out in/put it back in, in a timely manner. So this is what I was going todo:

I was gonna use the router like i did for the baffle of the tube enclosure and cut a square piece of mdf and router that and sandwich them together with 2 long bolts and nut to hold the wires.

After looking at it more I decided to just cut a square thats 1" bigger on all sides, take a router to it and round the corners, place 2 long bolts to hold the wire and carpet it. Which I ordered the carpet tonight. That way i can just throw some screws to hold the cover piece in place. Or I may just purchase some thin wood like a 2X4' sheet of 1/4" paneling or something similar, carpet that instead of using 3/4" mdf. I'll think more on that tomorrow lol.
