My good friend Shadow ran a set of the Hertz Mille,and in sealed pods, and they sounded fantastic with the Gladden 250x2 amp.Were the PHD components really any good?Im not sure they are still around or not? I can vouch for the Hertz Mille though,and the HSK..he had both eventually..lol

I do remember hearing these in one of the Team Focal rides a couple years ago at Austin Heat Wave, and they sounded pretty damned clean,but nothing like the Hertz imo....

As far as the 6" goes. Personally I wouldn't use the TM65 in a 2 way system. Great midbass, it can go low with authority, but midrange is good to just OK IMO.

I really like the SB Acoustics Satori 6", stellar midrange, maybe the best midrange available, The midbass is good, IIRC as good as the HSK 165HL, but not as loud. For the price $175 ea they are incredible. even for there old price ($350 ea) they were good value.

The drivers are designed to sound great in a car as well as to be easy to install. The QA process is unlike anything I'm aware of for car speakers. I believe only the GB series is available to buy now but the GS series is coming very soon. GS doesn't have quite the low distortion of a comparable GB driver, but everything I've seen until now indicates they will all sound great. I've seen a lot of information about the designs, production process, and some reasoning why things were done a certain way. As we're not an Audiofrog dealer I can't vouch for the dealer support, but I've read plenty about what Andy and his guys want to do and it's epic. Real practical car acoustics training, of which I've gotten a small sample of at Knowledgefest last August, and training on how to measure and tune as well.

So quick question. If I were to get the hsk would 1 pair be enough? Been mulling over this for a while. I'm just not to sure they could balance out the sub I'm about to have. Or are they pretty solid?

I would say I've never disliked a Morel setup I heard : ). Which ones did you hear and not like?.

Personally, I've heard Maximo, Tempo and the 602 Elate set I'm using. All impressed me for their price point.

Maximo and tempo. Never the Elates.

I've been studying the Graphs on the Mille vs my XLs. It looks like on paper the Mille is what I'm looking for. Another plus, its a direct swap
