its not that 18s dont move the meter well its the fact that the box is WAY to small and looked to be just fit the biggest u can get in there instead of engineered to play the best in that truck

Well the box was not designed to peak high. Mat wanted to to be tuned lower for music. Sice his car dosn't peak to high (43Hz) we can build another one tuned at that and have a little gain but thats what he wanted so thats what I built for him. Well for beig small the box is 13.125 net cubic feet and after port displacement and sub, and braces it comes to be a little over 11 cubic feet.

Ya I am pleased with it! If I wanted higher scores THAT bad I would have tuned it to lik 40hz. Hits the lows nice! Hopefully will see an improvement when I get my alternator and really turn the gains up.

it was tuned 32hz and i didnt find it hard breaking 150

Ok well after how many diffrent designs did it take you to hit over 150? I'm sure it was not the first box you built to get you there, you have been bashing this entire build. It's not your car, so what if it is done your way, who cares? All that matter is that Matt is happy with it. I believe that I speak for alot of people in that part of fun in this sport is trial-and-error process to make thoes gains. Like with my car it has taken me a while to get where I am, and as with everyone it's still not enough. We are always wanting to break that next DB, so let the kid have his fun.

actually my first system in my explorer did 153 TL im not bashing the thread i already said if he is happy thats all that matters ... just sucks for him to spend all this money on a project not done correctly but hey he is happy

Yehh mines tuned at 35hz and last was 30hz....itll still peak at 43-44hz

Tuning higher doesnt make it peak higher or gain necessarily

Hell with 2 12 Type Rs in a small box i was able to get a 149.4 tuned to 32hz and still peak at 44hz

The only time it peaked higher was when i took my back seat out, it went up to 48-50hz peak

You could tune anywhere from 30-40hz and it should still peak around 43-45hz

How is the project not done correctly? Since it doesnt hit over 150 that means it wasnt done correctly?
