keep the 2 12s and put 800-900 watt on each of them. Will get loud in a proper box.

I am looking for a single sub that is atleast lounder than 2 type R 12'',
basically to make a box for the 2 12's will cost more than making the box for 1 sub,

1.hard to do.

I dont understand you kid... You have 2 type r's.. but you want to get one sub instead of 2. But you want to be louder with one sub. and you are thinking about getting a rockford t2? are you kidding me??? If you ask for advice on this forum, 9/10 times you should listen to it.. Get the right box for your type r's,,, and put some more power to them, and they will beat the shit out of your mustang... enough said.

JL Are the best hands dowm, i listen to some subs today at the car audio place, they arent biased they put a 10w6 against a T2 12, and it was **** close in spl, jl had it beat in sound quality by far too, the 12" jl blew the 12 t2 out of the water in spll and sq, hands dowm, so im going with 2 13.5 W6's, best setup in my opinion for 1000 rms amp

Fi Q. mine gets **** loud and sounds excellent. i have yet to get it metered , or even find a shop that has one. maybe once i get a few bucks ill look around and post up some numbers. im very curious...

I might catch some flack for saying this, but I just finished building this box,

and it absolutely hammers with just one 12" sub.

its decwares "death box 12" its been around for ever, old tecnology but - it has an ajustable speaker insert - so you can tune it by raising or lowering the speaker in the enclosure to where it sounds the best, for your individual sub and car -

-it should fit nicley in your car. maby you could even fit 2 in there.

and just use your 12's you currently have.

the single 12" sub I put in the new box sounded like poo in a diffrent ported enclosure, and now sounds monstorous in the new box. it took 1 average 12" sub and made it perform like 3 subs.

Really? In terms of what? SPL and SQ? or SQL?

IDMAX is better in SQ in my opinion, and there are many subs that get a lot louder.

No offense, but don't come onto the forum asking for advice and then when people give you it, not listen to it at all. Go on about JL and Fosgate. And insist they are the best. I promise they aren't. I wonder what your shop is going to charge you for them as well.

And in case you get over only having subs from the shop...

My Mag gets insanely loud, and has really good SQ off 1300 watts.

Only problem would be your amp wouldn't be able to push it due to the mags being only D2.
