i dont understand how a relatively cheap sub (type r) can have better Spl than a very expensive sub, doesnt make since to me, i know the jl's are much more about sq

well ill keep you guys posted once i get the install all done, ill put the JLs against my friends 2 12'' type r's which are in a custom box on a PDX1000, ill do it by listening then ill get the Db's for both, then we can settle this,

Why are you buying jl? Good shit, dont get me wrong. But overpriced. You say the guy let you compare the T2 and the jl sub? Was it in a car? I really find it hard to believe that the w6 kept up w/ the T2... T2's get pretty loud off of their rated power, W6's... not so much.

Wow! Who ever told you that the W7 is their SQ sub is just retarded!

You come here asking the forum for advice and steer completely away from it, lol! Another newb that has no clue and probably won't. We tried to save you money, but you want to go an blow it, fine, help yourself. Looks like you can afford it with that fancy car you got.

By the way the JL W6 is more SQ oriented than the W7. You need to listen more here and not at some nimrod trying to push their product on you.
