Lookin' for a sub.

Alright, I have a 1986 Mercury Capri GS, and I'm wanting to build a system for it, I don't know what I should get, so I'm here askin' for some help. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I'm wanting to either got with 3 12's or 2 15's. I'm going to be building the system starting with the subs, so I figure I need to get them out of the way. Was thinkin' of some Power Acoustic MOFO's, but I don't know. I'm not TOO good with subwoofers these days. Thanks for the help.

In my opinion you can't go wrong with 3 12's of the 10's I got

the tens are XS-L100P5W

i believe the 12's are XS-L120P5W....not 100% on that #

they're good price wise....and they sound great......hit hard too

I wasn't too sure of the MOFO's, I heard the FUBR's and they didn't sound too bad. Anywho, I don't have the largest budget, but I can get more I'd say about 700 MAX for the subs. Also, Lowjacker, the subs you have are Sony, aren't they?

Yup, Xplod subs from Wal-Mart and they sound **** good

Yeah, I was lookin' at the Kickers, but I don't like the 4 sided shape, I could look into gettin' the kicker CVX's though? To tell you the truth, I want something with a big surround (for show), somethin' that makes them look really powerful (of course they WILL BE powerful). Kind of like the Audiobahn surrounds?

I haven't had too many good experiences with Xplod's. I have popped too many. For me, they don't have enough power, nor sound quality.

I know audiobahn isn't shit, I just want an 'excursion' subwoofer. That is what I meant. I'm not too sure what I will be powering the subs with, it will be decided once I get the subs choosen.

maybe look into fi series subs? they can fit your budget, certainly the q series. or maybe soundplinter rl-p also very good.

I got offered 4 12" Hifonics Atlas AS12SQD4 for $400, from a friend, would it be worth it? I have never heard Hifonics in action, but I have always been a fan of Hifonics.

Screw it, just looked around on the web, I'm gettin' these Atlas'. Can't find a better deal, even though these ARE used, they only have 2 hours of use.

umm... 130dBs is all you can manage from $225 worth of subs and amps... and its not even on a TL? thats terrible!!!

dont go with hifonics subs, their amps are decent, but stay away from their subs
