LADES Street MAX 3-4 Build Log

do yourself a favor and get a butane torch and some fat rosin core solder. put the crimp terminal loosely over the wire, then crimp it lightly back togheter and blast the thing with the torch and dunk a ton of solder on there.

will take as long as crimping, but its easier and they will not fall off, and the terminals are reusable if you need to change the wire.

what we used was 4\0awg welding wire and 4\0awg copper cup terminals. the kind that are closed at one end. we just put it in a vice (making sure the 4\0 would fit in there easy) and then blasted it with the torch and filled it half way with molten solder, then shuved the 4\0 wire into the cup and let it soak for 5~10 seconds under heat, then set it aside and did another. it went by really fast and all the wire\terminals could be undone and re used.

hope that helps.
