the XXX sounds better deeper into its excursion range... the type R IMO sounds awesome at moderate volumes.

The R's do have the potential to get louder in nearly every install.

they DO have SQ, in the right box, big ported does not fall into this category....

we just had two SQ winners at SBN

and just because the R in his install is louder, for him , does not mean the added Sd doesn't work for everyone, we can NEVER base FACTS on one install

No, Tcab boxes are magic and are the ONLY way a type R can ever get loud/sound good. They use special materials found deep within the earth, which they steal from type R faeries. That's just how it is....
