Is it a Pioneer? They had some RCA ground issues.

What kind of car? Some had bad grounds.

sorry for the lack of info every thing is stock except the new hu (cda-9884) the car is a 99 honda accord just waiting on a box to get the rest of my stuff instaled

Hmmm, I have a 9883 in my 97 Civic. Are you using a harness, or did you cut your plug and hardwire it like I did mine? Maybe your connections are lose.

check to make sure you didnt take 2 sets of wires together and they be touchin ive done that before and with alpines hard to hear at low volumes
