Just a few questions

Good evening.

I recently bought a new car audio system, and i was just wondering your thoughts on it.

As of now i have, kenwood head unit, 2 mtx 8302 amps, and 2 mtx 15" 8000 subs, 1 amp per sub.

Im not too fermiliar with many different systems, so for me this system seems really great, do any of you have any suggestions that would benefit my system.

I was thinking about trading in my 2 15" subs for like one audiobahn monster sub that has more watts than my 2 15"s. but im unsure if the one 4000 watt sub, would be louder than the 2 1000 watt subs, because im still using the same amps

I have also done some adjusting of the freq, and EQ on my amps, and i have them where i like them, but i am unsure of how to adjust the gain. i am still unsure of what the gain does actually.

Im pretty new to the sound audo scene, so any tips or suggestions will help.

First, welcome to the board.

If you are looking to be loud then go with audiobahn. If you are looking for clean loud then don't go with them. Do some searching for the subs you are interested in.

As for gain. The search feature is your best friend. Look in the amplifier forum for this sticky thread:

keep it how it is, im surprised ur not happy with it? 2 15s should equal dam loud
