Hi, I,m looking to replace my alpine annivery head unit and alpine 7903 head units with this DEH80PRS head unit. Since after reading some reviews on it may sound even better than my other 2 head units. Will this be the case? Also Before I purchase this deck ,I definitely need to know ,Is it the oldschool rca hookup ,Where you simply have 3 sets of rca outputs on it .One that you hook your front out, 2 channel amplifier to front out rca jack on back of deck ,then rear out 2 channel amplifier on the rear out rca jack on the separate rear out jack on the back of the deck, and a separate 2 channel amplifier to a set of subwoofer rca output jacks. Is this the case or is it like the pioneer dex-p99rs head unit where is ,is just tweeter out rca,s midrange output, midbass output rca jack and subwoofer rca output rca,s I need it too just be the oldschool front out, rear out, subwoofer out rca jacks on it. What does this have. Also I have my alpine 7909 system set up with 4 alpine spx-f17t crossovers that run from an alpine 3321 equalizer in the dash that has the front out ,rear out, subwoofer output rca jacks on the back of it which the rca cable run to 3 separate 2 channel amplifiers,.One 3 way crossover for for front left and right tweeter and midrange, another crossover for the right front tweeter and midrange, and another crossover for the left rear tweeter and midrange, and another crossover for the right rear tweeter and midrange. Will I still hook up all my speakers using all my 4 spx-f17t crossovers? to keep all the wiring the same so it is just a simple deck swap out and swap in,and then tune the new pioneer DEH80PHS head unit. Thanks in advance for everyone who chimes in to answer these questions.

The manual is located on the Pioneer site.

I bought two 80prs right when they came out. They have 6 RCA outputs. Front, rear, and sub OR if in network mode(3 way active mode) they will be high, mid, low

Buying an 80prs and using passive crossovers and EQ would be a waste of money.

Hi, So the crossovers are still needed to be used with this deck as I described in my first post? Also what do you mean by network mode,What does it do.
A deck with network mode (or active) can control all speakers individually without the need of external crossover modules. With the built-in DSP, you get more fine tuning options for better sound staging and power handling. The downside for you would be losing the rear ouputs.
