JL 12W3V3 Sub, 4ohm or 2ohm?

I am going to run a single 12" sub, considering a JL 12W3V3 sub, not sure which ohm though, should I go with 2 ohm or 4 ohm? I am thinking I will be using an Alpine MRP-M500 Mono amp to power the sub. SQ is more important btw then volume to me.

go with the 2ohm so you can get the most out of the amp.

2 ohm. So you can get the most power. If you go 4 ohm you will be forced to go smaller power because of the way its hooked up.
