Every single kid in college wouldn't have a gun. Most people would not carry on campus and even more people wouldn't even know about those that did.I do think that every single kid in college having a concealed weapon is a bad idea, and there should definitely be a push for more regulations on getting a concealed weapons permit for a college campus.
However, I'm not totally opposed to the idea. Was watching something on the news a couple weeks ago. About a kid who was paralyzed and went to school. If anything ever went down, that kid would be absolutely helpless. Cases like this, I don't have a problem at all with concealed weapons.
Right, because we are all inbred idiots. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifprotection from the "Hicks"

I understand your point, but I'm unfamiliar with the type of background check you go through in order to get a concealed weapons permit.Every single kid in college wouldn't have a gun. Most people would not carry on campus and even more people wouldn't even know about those that did.
You gave an example about a kid in a wheelchair being helpless. I'll give the example of 32 people sitting in a classroom at Virginia Tech a year ago. They were just as helpless as the kid in the wheelchair.
Kinda hard to check for that, dont you think? But they do check your background, you cant have any felonies, or class A misdeameanors for 5 years and you obviously have to go through a 16 hour class.I understand your point, but I'm unfamiliar with the type of background check you go through in order to get a concealed weapons permit.
Do they make sure that they aren't allowing a raging alcoholic who is also manic depressive to have a gun on campus?
ehh mabe i didnt word that right was refering to you...Chad Hicks with the extra pun that you did catch.Right, because we are all inbred idiots. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I don't think it's beyond reason to ask for this kind of stuff. If they can find it out, then they should be looking for it. Make the person submit to a couple random drug tests. Make them visit a psychiatrist for a while. All at the expense of the person applying for the concealed permit as well. Unless there is some underlying legitimate factor as to why they feel they deserve the permit, ie. being paralyzed.Kinda hard to check for that, dont you think? But they do check your background, you cant have any felonies, or class A misdeameanors for 5 years and you obviously have to go through a 16 hour class.
If you guys are so against concealed carry (although i have no idea why, when its one of the last true rights that we have and should uphold it no matter what) then maybe you guys should request for stricter gun classes.
Do they just ask about it, or do the authorities check for themselves? It's pretty much common sense as to what is not going to allow you to get a permit like this.Yes.
The forms you fill out to buy a gun also ask about mental illness, drugs, etc.
No... Ignorant, irresponsible assholes cause problems... aka the media.the more comfortable people get carrying guns, the more comfortable they will be shooting them, i say more guns=more problems
