Hi. I am thinking of purchasing a vehicle with this setup and was wondering what a fair price is for this unit. (Pics included) everything seems to work great. Thank you

Not sure how that generation Sony amps was. The red Mobile ES series were very nice but I'm not familiar with the one pictured. JL subs are probably old W0 or comparable and were likely 150$ a pop or less MSRP brand new. I'd guess everything pictured was <500$ brand new MSRP and you could do better with modern equipment for 500$ or less. I'm sure it'll function and sound OK, but this isn't anything to write home about.

If you like the vehicle then get it but I wouldn’t pay any extra for the system in it unless they just absolutely won’t sell without it. I’d pay an extra $100-$150 maybe for it if you had to

Thanks for the information . The gentleman wanted $300 extra for the setup and claimed it was a steal for that price and I don’t know anything about stereos so I was checking. Thanks again

Definitely not a steal. It’s very old equipment. Sonic was selling that amp at $89 brand new over 10 years ago. It’s JL’s entry level so not much there either price wise.

It’s not bad stuff if you just want some bass and don’t really care about brands / models, but I’d pass on it and put that $300 towards better stuff, or just save that 300. It isn’t stuff like "OMG I can’t pass that up", I would not buy it normally at that price. On the other hand, for simplicity's sake, if you’re not an audio nut it’s already installed and functional and I'm sure sounds fine, so you won't have to do any installing yourself or pay someone to do it, assuming you even want subs in your car.

Thank you to everyone for the replies. I told him he could keep it (I just wanted the vehicle) and he kept coming down on the price and I said no to all them.
