Talk to him like a man, and do what you think is right. No doubt it is $$$ to ship 100# plus items, and he did screw up on the shipping, BUT what if the table was turned? Meet him half way at least.

Also, if he hadnt a clue about shipping expenses, Id be REAL worried about how it is packed.. I see 2 speakers that have some serious potential for damage during shipment ESPECIALLY on such a heavy item!

Don't pay him a cent more than what you agreed to. You BOTH entered into a contract that stated you would pay a certain price and he would send you certain equipment. If he doesn't like the way it ended up, he shouldn't have entered into the contract. It was his responsibility to find out the correct shipping price BEFORE he posted the listing.

Besides, he can no longer post negative feedback on you. You really have nothing to lose

also a seller/shipper's lack of experience can end up costing more for shipping... I sure as hell wouldnt pay extra for shipping because the person is not experienced enuff..

X2 It's not your fault he didn't research the shipping costs properly. I had a similar situation on an amp I bought here, guy wasn't going to ship over 10 bucks different in shipping on a $250 deal. I can understand him going oh shit but it's his fault, his responsibility.
