Is this a safe placement of my sub?

Hey guys forgive the noobish question,

I just installed an amp and sub into the trunk of my car.

My question is about the placement of the sub. I turned it around so the front was facing the back of my backseat. It sounds better like this and I can feel it more in the front seat.

Is this safe to do? The speaker being so close to the back of the seat won't cause any issues will it?

Here's a picture:

The sub on the right is a spare, the one on the left is the one I'm talking about.

Thanks guys.

Shouldnt be a problem from what i can see you might want to get a L bracket and screw it down so it doesnt move around
Okay, good. I was worried it would blow the speaker or something. As for the movement, it's pretty set where it is, but I should screw it down anyways.

does it sound best in that location?
subzero, from what i can tell so far, yes it sounds best in that location. Before I could barely hear it and almost not feel it at all.
