Is the sub damaged?

Is there anything in the motor of a sub that could come loose or "rattle" when the sub is picked up/moved. The sub itself works like new and there are no signs of abuse in the least bit. It sounds almost like a spring vibration or something (dont know how to describe it), not so much like something is loose rolling around the motor, but I don't want to rule that possibility out.

Any ideas of what this could possibly be?

I have an old school Lanzar sub, and it has a pole vent, and the pole vent HAD a mesh metal thing around it... but during shipping (I guess) it fell down the pole vent and now it's rattling inside the dust cap... I haven't powered it up yet, so no need to take it out. But that's what happened to me.

As for that...
