I've always wanted something like a tsns motor on like an 8". Of course the only way to mount it would be inverted but it would be siiiccckkkk hahha

I have the only 3" coiled 8 and thats pushing it with the amount of spider...

Instead of using spiders you could have a potentially limitless amount of excursion by using magnet rings around the basket that could counteract the movement of the coil. The coil wouldn't have any form of suspension attached to it with the exception of the surround, so the coil would be more or less just be floating there lol
