Also I have a great box for that jeep FS if you or anyone you know has to come anywhere near me and could pick it up.
What are the specs for the box? cuft per sub and port tuning? Also I have a great box for that jeep FS if you or anyone you know has to come anywhere near me and could pick it up.
Oh wow yea thats waaaaaaay to big for my 2 12" sa-12's lol I only need 1.75cuft per sub so 3.5 total. I'm also looking for 34-36hz tuning.http://www.caraudio.com/forums/miscellaneous-car-audio-classifieds/511784-fs-dave-box-guy-box-7%5E3-%40-42hz-suv-box-80%24-obo.html
Ask some of the upstate NY guys about Dave's work. I'd drive out about as far as Worcester to meet up or a little farther if you kick in for gas.
It's built for a pair of 15's now but I have a plywood piece that can screw on the top cut to fit a pair of 12's.
Do hit me up if you have any questions about the jeep though, I've done quite a bit of installing and experimenting on mine.
Let me know what you think if you try that. I thought 38 tuning was already sacrificing a bit of output in 55-65hz range for my liking.Yeah sundown recommends 30hz with 1.75cuft per sub for SQL. I think that is way too low so I was going to try to go around 35hz.
Do you listen to mostly rap and hip hop?Let me know what you think if you try that. I thought 38 tuning was already sacrificing a bit of output in 55-65hz range for my liking.
Quite a bit of that, mostly older stuff, but plenty that's bass heavy. If you build a box use sono tube for port and temp it in with some silicone caulking. Tune low and cut the port down an inch at a time (easy with a utility knife) and keep tuning up and take some notes with a variety of music. Then you can do another permanent port at whatever length you like. IMHO best way to test multiple tunings to see what you like and what is the best match for those subs.Do you listen to mostly rap and hip hop?
I was going to use slot ports but it looks like they would have to be very long for me to make it say 4" by 6" it would have to be 25" long for 35hz but if I just use a 4" round it only has to be 12.5" although I can't find 4" sono tube anywhere.Quite a bit of that, mostly older stuff, but plenty that's bass heavy.
