If you need the gain that high with 4v pre outs then your electrical might need a upgrade. Have you done big 3, extra battery? Voltage drop will mess stuff up also

The battery is a possible problem it came with the jeep so i'm not sure how old it is I'll get it checked on my day off. The alt is the stock I believe it's a 105 amp I would think that would be enough for 1200 watts the lights don't dim at all nor does the voltage drop. My amp does sometimes have the tiniest popping noise when I turn my head unit off. Is this amp that under rated that I would only have to turn the gain up 25%?

EDIT: I just checked the battery when the jeep is off it's 12.18v and when it's on it's 13.72v a little on the low side for the alternator.

hmm, I did use some rca's that I had left over from a friends install I used to use rockford or high end rcas but I just went with what I believe is standard scoche do you think that could hurt it that much?

Yeah had the battery and alternator checked the battery is suppose to be 850 cca but only getting about 550cca so probably time for a new one. Is there any deep cycle batteries besides Optima that are around $100?

Ok so I'm glad I went with sundown and audioque but the sundowns are seriously under rated so I am going to have to upgrade my amp to something with a little more power. I was thinking the audioque aq2200d but I think they raised the price on it I swear when I bought my 1200d the price of the 2200 was $349 I would buy it for that but $429 is a little much for me atm. First things first tho I need to replace my battery and catalytic converter before I can buy a new amp.
