im pissed! what should i do?

Man, Sorry to hear all that. the shops around here **** BIG timer also, I took my wifes Mustang to the shop for some work and while it was their.....Some kids broke into her car, with it sitting in a fenced in area. They took the headunit out and tried to run away with it, for some reason the got scared and just threw it down on the ground. They also poked holes all in the IDQ 10" Subs in the back.

Here is the screwed up part, the shop just rewired the Headunit back into the dash and never told us that the car was broken into, the police called and told us to come by and pick up the papers for insurance. The headunit would not work any more and the Subs with holes in them were ruined. I went to the shop and told them about it they said the subs were like that when I brought the car in and that the headunit was working fine when the car left.....WTF!! You're kidding me right? Well long story short I now have a lawyer and the shop does not want to pay me for the stuff they let get broken. So looks like we are headed to court.

I don't let anyone touch my stereo in my car especially mechanics. I disconnect my second battery and various remote-turn on leads so nothing can be turn on.

Not too many mechanics understand 16v(since it's only for car audio) so I guess next time be careful.

God ****...wow i cant believe that. i kind of had the same prob and they broke my hood latch to get under my hood when they were doing my tires...i have no clue how that has any way of doing it but anyways i go to open my hood and nope not working....

and thats why u dont take ur **** to a garage hooked up if you do watch it like a hawk and if they wont let u take it elsewhere. i've had an amp fucked completly at a garage and they didnt do **** to fix it.

i took my jeep to get a chip fixed in the windshield. they fixed it and blew my subs. shop owner payed double the cost of the subs. i told him i was going to sue him. see if that works.

Just go back to the shop, brandishing your piece, telling him how it's going to happen. Don't let him tell you. Take control and assess the situation.

The shop is probably crooked like the ones around here...you'll end up spending more time and money with lawyers than you'll get out of them...lawyers are crooked they will take your money at $150 an hour...hopefully only one or two batteries are bad they can pull the rest down...simce they arn't working anyway you need to pull them out and test them individually and see if they all are bad or maybe if your lucky only a couple or bad...
