If Christ is the answer, what was the question?

If we were the only planet like this then I would say it would be hard to understand, but there is no way there are not more "earths" out there imo
Honestly though, I dont discuss politics or religion. I dont vote or go to church and politicians and god can both kiss my ***

Good luck
I understand where you're coming from, but the inability to understand whther or not there has to be another "earth" out there, does not reconcile the facts of our own earth.

You DO realize that has been repeated over and over from one religion to the next, with the origins in astrology, for thousands of years, don't you?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
It's fine you point that out, but if you try to claim superiority of those ideas, you're a fool. Sorry.
Why am I a fool, and why do you get to decide that?

I don't claim that microevolution does not happen, i do not believe that macro evolution takes place.
Also, There are many leaps and bounds that have yet to take place in the argument of ID vs. Evolution.

There are things that have to be reconciled with. There are.
seriously, just watch one of them

your time will come

oh noes dont strike the fear of god in me, im already afraid of so many other things like bigfoot, the boogeyman, el chupa cabra and all those other monsters passed down from generation to generation

besides god is merciful and forgiving, blah, blah, blah

Science is a system of approximation and rigorous pursuit of the best answer possible. Belief in the result is best suspended from the process.

Religion is a set of beliefs garnered by personal choice and experience.

Your post makes no sense in terms of what you're arguing.

I don't claim to be a genius on this topic, and Behe is merely "outcasted" because of what he claims as the intelligent designer, it's real science, you cannot argue that. By definition, it is.
Hey, I'm all for disproving evolution. That's what science is all about. But unfortunately, intelligent design is just a clever guise for creationism and there's zero evidence to prove creationism. Whereas evolution has been studied and observed for ages and is occurring right now at this very moment.

The theory of evolution, the theory of gravity, or any other theory for that matter were not founded just for the intent of creating conflict with those of religious beliefs. You can still believe in a judeo-christian god and still acknowledge evolution, ya know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif.

all the other prophets are not irrelevant at all. You have to look at the ONE major difference between all of their lives. Jesus never sinned, all other prophets either doubted or turned away from God at one point or another, and he did this on purpose to make an example out of them.
where'd you get that? Mohammad is somehow less pure because he was born in a place where the belief in God had not spread to? He was an honest, hardworking, poor man. He never once doubted God after God sent Gabriel to him to give him God's messages, and he spent the rest of his life spreading the teachings of God. Its actually amazing the amount he did in the relatively short amount of time that he did it. He changed the entire middle-east during less than half of his relatively short life.

I dont know specifically about the other prophets, or Jesus, in this respect, but I've never heard that argument before...

The Bible teaches that Jesus was not merely a prophet, but part of the TRIUNE God, (father, son, holyspirit) that is why I do not hold Old Testament prophets in the same regaurd, Old testament prophets, prophesied about the coming messiah. Read Is.53, and tell me that is not a prophecy to Christ.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif Jesus also told us there would be one more prophet after him, and that would be the final prophet. Imo most of what Christianity is today (the belief that it is the true religion of God and Judaism/Islam are wrong, etc) is mostly the result of years of people changing the truth for personal gain and adjusting things to the way they want to see them. Afterall, with the mentality of Christianity, how could there possibly be anyone as important as Jesus, we'd certainly have to make sure that's not in the bible. And its well documented, that its been rewritten countless times, and usually changed and had a spin put on it, everytime...

No prob man I would be happy to, Iwill tomorrow and ill start a thread and we can take it up.

But I will also probably have videos for you to watch //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Just curious, did you see Expelled?

I know a lot of "non-religious" types are callin' it "ben steins cash cow" but it was good, it was interesting, from no matter what perspective you hold to. And you cannot argue that Richard Dawkins did a poor job of responding in the end of the movie.

the judge that wrote this decision is a regular church goer.

"The overwhelming evidence at trial established that ID is a religious view, a mere re-labeling of creationism, and not a scientific theory."

"ID’s backers have sought to avoid the scientific scrutiny which we have now determined that it cannot withstand by advocating that the controversy, but not ID itself, should be taught in science class. This tactic is at best disingenuous, and at worst a canard. The goal of the IDM is not to encourage critical thought, but to foment a revolution which would supplant evolutionary theory with ID."

"The proper application of both the endorsement and Lemon tests to the facts of this case makes it abundantly clear that the Board’s ID Policy violates the Establishment Clause. In making this determination, we have addressed the seminal question of whether ID is science. We have concluded that it is not, and moreover that ID cannot uncouple itself from its creationist, and thus religious, antecedents."

"To be sure, Darwin’s theory of evolution is imperfect. However, the fact that a scientific theory cannot yet render an explanation on every point should not be used as a pretext to thrust an untestable alternative hypothesis grounded in religion into the science classroom or to misrepresent well-established scientific propositions."

Think about this.
Think about the way we feel emotion.

How we experience things like love and hate and pleasure and anger...

How complex our bodies are...

How we stay alive...

How in the world could that have come from a bang?

Think about it..

Why am I a Christian??

Because a man named Jesus Christ DIED for me, and everyone else that hated him.

He would rather DIE than see people that he LOVED (that hated him at the same time), live in and go to the worst place one could imagine.

He was a REAL person that loved others more than his own life! To the point that he would rather be beaten half to death and nailed to a cross than live knowing where all of his beloved family was heading.

That is the force that gave us all the key to salvation. His sacrifice.

I am pretty young (27), but I have been through a lot in my life. I've done some really messed up stuff in my life, come close to getting killed several times, and generally failed at life.

It seemed that there was something stopping me every time I was close to success. Like I was cursed. One day I told God I would let go of everything unpure. All my selfish pride..To give God total control of my life...

It felt like a huge burden was lifted from my shoulders. Like I could finally breathe in fresh air.

My life was filled with genuine joy and I haven't been the same since. Not at all! It seems like I suceed in everything I put my mind to. I make more money than I ever thought I would and

I KNOW it's God. And I know there's no other way to get right. Thank you Jesus
lol

Okay, i know this is a "scape goat" but what is truly macro-evolving, we have enough document that it would seem we could see that in history.

And I totally understand that some would hold to a "theistic evolution."
