Idk what to do, is my sub a dud?

I just got a incriminator audio lethal injection 12 d-2. I swapped out my sa-12 for it since I have a new amp, and what happened was: 1. I hooked up a voltmeter to one side of the leads to see (as I moved the cone up and down with my hands) if I was getting a good connection, but at one spot the voltmeter detects no voltage (break in the loop from positive to negative leads). I’m not sure what to do as I’ve checked everything else ( rcas are sending signal etc.)

You do mean impedance... correct?

No I tested both sets of leads to get the impedance and it was correct (2.0 on each)

I then measured to see if there was a good connection for each set of leads as I moved the cone up and down, but one coil side seemed to have a dead spot where the connection would break and I was reading no voltage
