well dat sucks lol.do you have any info on the kenwood 8104D that i use to use ? it said it was 500rms@ 2ohms,which now after reading ur post makes me wonder.
 
All I know is that a friend of mine manages a shop that sells Memphis products and Kenwood products. Although they mainly try to push Kenwood for the head units, they have to buy a little bit of everything in Kenwood's product line.

Till this day, he said that he has NEVER seen a Kenwood amp make its rated power, and he swears by that statement. Sadly, these amplifiers come with birth sheets that show how they make rated power or a little more at the factory, yet put them on a bench and they will NEVER do it.

If I had to guess, I would say that you are lucky if your 500 watt RMS Kenwood amp gives you 300 or so clean RMS watts.

 
wow,thanks for that info.and to think before i bought the zx750.1,i was getting 500w lol.no wonder i couldnt blow that cvr with that amp lol.some more good info to know.kenwood amps must truly **** !
