I Need a 2.5K+ RMS Amplifier...

I just bought a new 2006 XXX 12" and I am looking at an amp to power it. Ryan @ Superior Sounds it can handle 4,000 watts daily, so anywhere between 2,500 and 4,000 watts @ 1 ohm is what we're looking for. I was going to buy an Orion 2500d, but I just found out they stopped making them a little while ago. I will have a sufficient electric system to back this up, so power isn't too much of a problem.

I want a cheap amp, but I also want a quality amp. I'm looking in a range of up to $700 (but preferably around $500). E-bay is cool, and if anyone here has anything for sale, let me know.

What would you all suggest?

get 2 power acoustik a3000s, strap them and they should do atleast 2000rms apiece at 1ohm maybe more

that sounds awesome, but I can't really find any information about it online. Do you have a link to a website that carries it?

The Power Acoustik's are a little too cheap honestly, I would rather go with something a little nicer:crap:

If im not mistaken they "NEW" style stuff hasnt been released yet IIRC. I'm guessing you have an old style XXX just bought it in 2006 and it wont handle 4kw for very long.... If it is the old style you'll only want 1500 rms or a bit more on it.

there was a thread a while back about a guy with the new ones who got em from a shop that was selling there's that they had used to test that they got from RE and i think that is where this guy got his.
