hurt my sub?

will running 1000 watts to my 12" L7 for 30 seconds damage it any. i have a bass comp this weekend and dont want to hurt it but i still want to use all 1000 watts.

u dont need to do the full 30secs. Just figure out what tone to play, and play that for atleast 5secs

Make a test tone cd and find out the best hz to play.

This site has a bunch of 5 second test tones. Save them to your computer and then make a cd. That's what i did.
