How to use a crossover??

They are kickers as well they are ds650 2 way they aint got xovers on em i bought em used so if they were supposed to the guy didnt give em to me it wasnt a compnent set...as for messing with the setting ur talking bout the setting menu where it has

L 0 H4 M4??

I have 2 kicker ds65 2 way speakers no tweeters just the speakers i bought the speakers used so if they were supposed to come with xovers the guy didnt give em to me have the hpf set to 125 as for the setting ur talkig about the menu that has these letters?? L H M the lows are the ones i can mess with rite??

Then they should have a built in cap to cut bass and mids from the tweeter, no worries there. HPF at 125 is fine. What do you have as your subwoofer setup?

1600 watt 2 channel z editon amp 2 12" kickers thats my set up with the subs i bought a 200 watt 4 channel amp for the others speakers but it has t showed up in the mail -_-

for some reason I thought we were talking about comps not co-ax's. hook them up and mess with the settings until it sounds good theres not much else to do, if they where amped different story.

oh ok, so why run a rear set of speakers you ride in the back a lot? J/K have you thought about amping the highs in the front and doing away with the rears? my sub stage does all the work from the back and 200 to each door and it sounds really good but I have no idea what it sounds like from the back seat though other then what I've been told which was "it's loud" for whatever that's worth.

Idk anything about car audio i bought the speakers i assumed comp would be better then 2 way thats y i put the 2 way in the back lol i ordered a 200 watt kicker amp from the net for my speakers do u know if thats enough juice??

It will sound better then any HU for sure, as for enough probably so what are they rated at and what ohm load are they? compare that to what the amp does per channel at that ohm load. I personally always like to have more power on tap then needed it helps keep things clear when loud.

The speakers 120 watts peak and they are 60 watts rms...one more thing my sub amp is heating up really bad and is shuting off does that mean it isnt getting enough ventilation and its shuting off??

could be that or your running it at it's lowest ohm load and don't quite have the power to back it, and the amp your getting will be good for your current speakers being only 60rms they should sound good and clean without a ton of power.

Thats wat im thinking i backed off on the bass a bit...the only speakers i would hook up to the 4 channel amp would be the components speakers right?? Or could i hook all 4 of em??

well you can but I wouldn't they most likely crossover at different points and have different rms ratings, also then you will run into problems with thermal protect too most likely, tune the comps by them selves you may not even need to run the rears after that.
