As for the crossover it has a couple of setting 0db +3db +6db if im trying to remove the bass from the speakers do i leave it at 0 any help would be apreciated

Im new to this o dont wanna blow out my speakers i lowered the bass on all the speakers and i habe it set so it only come out on my subs i had some old tweeters in the rear that blew but i didnt have a cross over set up would this set up be able to handle some bass??

They are hooked up straight to the head unit the old set up didnt have crossovers but these new speakers came with crossovers i just dont want my speakers to blow

If you have the user manual there is a connection diagram there, and yes as stated above the 0,3,6 db switch is for the level of the tweeters and to remove the low frequency bass you have to either use the head unit filter or the built in crossover on your amp, as for wires use orange as +ve and green as -ve.

Ok kool i have my speakers hooked up to the head unit my subs are the only thing that have an amp rite know my head unit does have a hpf but the numbers go from 50 to 125HZ how do i know what setting to put it on??

set it to 125 since you don't have the power to reproduce lower req. without an amp on there, doing that will also allow you to tune your bass up/down to your liking without to much distortion from the mids/highs. as for the attenuation on the x-over set it to 0db(I run mine at neg 6db) but setting them lower will reduce harsh sounds and the risk of overpowering your tweets.

Ok kool yea my corssivers dont have neg so ill set it to 0i havent messed with the bass on my head unit it self i have the lows set to 0 but those are the ones u said i could adjust rite??

Ok kool yea my corssivers dont have neg so ill set it to 6 i can mess with the bass on my head unit it self i have the los set to 0 but those are the ones u said i could adjust rite??
I am saying to set the x-overs the speakers are hooking to to 0 or the lowest setting possible, then set your headunits HPF(high pass filter) to 125hz then you can adjust the bass up some on the headunit settings without it sounding bad instead it will add some kick without over driving the headunits small internal amp.

They won't blow off head unit power regardless, but your best bet is to cross them at atleast 80hz (using the HPF on the deck), and sending the rest to the subwoofer.

What back speakers do you have? The crossovers are important for the woofer/tweeter signal split only. If your rear speakers aren't components then you should be just fine without having a crossover for them. The decks HPF will also cut bass from them as well.
