How to determine if a sub is in good shape?

Im purchasing 2 W7s from someone on ebay, hes coming down to deliver them, i will be able to hear them in his truck first. What should I look for or hear for to tell if they are in good shape?

put them in a sealed so you can hear the distortion if there is any. ports mask the distortion a bit if im not mistaken.
