How to add sub amp to existing amp

I have a four-channel MTX amp that is powering my components and the OEM rear deck speakers in my 5 series Bimmer; I want to add a sub through the ski-pass cutout and a separate amp to power it.

Since the MTX has all 4 channels coming from the OEM HU, can I pull the signal OUT of the MTX and send it INTO the sub amp (possibly w/ RCA's)? Or do I need to somehow split the rear signal before it goes into the MTX and send the rears to both amps?

I would love to hear how others have done this.
