How should I fix this air leak?

I have several small air leaks around the mounting ring of my box. It may be because I forgot to pre-drill so the holes aren't lined of exactly, or maybe the cutout is too big for the sub, but I can definitely feel a lot of air moving when the subs are playing, and it causes little rattles from the subs that I can hear when I flip the seat forward. It's mostly coming from around the screw holes, and when I put my fingers in a few of them to plug the leak, the rattling decreases, so I can tell that's the problem. Somebody told me this stuff might work.

I'm just confused as to how exactly to apply it, and how good it will work. I know I'm losing output and not getting 100% SQ, so I really want to fix this. I've been delaying it because its a tedius task and I don't have much spare time.

Well, I don't really think the hole is too big. I'm pretty sure I just drilled the holes lopsided. Should I put the striping on, mount the sub and test, then if it still leaks, should I reposition the subs and re-drill?
