Hey man... I've been real busy at work so this was put off until now.. I just bought an alpine type x-1242d .. Can you do the model with that sub? I want ported.. I decided to keep it pocket friendly for right now so i left the xxx where it was.. I found out it was dual 4 ohm and I can't afford over 2k @ 2 ohm at three moment.. So I went with this.. I'd appreciate it if you could help me outIt's not an issue... need it modeled?
https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9265_Alpine-SWX-1243D.htmlIf its not a v2 I can't find parameters, IDK how close to the older version the v2 is... the v2 looks like about 2.25ft3 net 37-8 in2 of port 37-38" long should put it around 32hz.
That might be a touch bigger than you wanted... IIRC you had that seattop console box, and the box above should end up around 3.5ft3 externally so IDK if this'll work, what's your airspace without any displacements (port,driver... anything)?
I just re-read the thread, looks like it'll work out (space wise) if the subs are close to being the same
That isn't a type r. That's a type x. It will handle 1kw no sweat.https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9265_Alpine-SWX-1243D.html
I have one of these now.. This is what I decided to go with.. The air space is 3.3 without any displacement internally. I want to port it and tune it to assertions 31-32hz.. So after displacement of port and sub I think it needs to be about 2.2-2.4 cubes.. How do I achieve that? I can tweak the box .. I think I'm going with a skar rp2000 @ 2 ohm to power it.. Lmk if that's too much
I didn't say it was a type r... And in your sig.. It's "too old" not toThat isn't a type r. That's a type x. It will handle 1kw no sweat.Do 2 cubes tuned to 35
Rp2000 puts out 1400 @ 2 ohm not 1k...That isn't a type r. That's a type x. It will handle 1kw no sweat.Do 2 cubes tuned to 35
after impedance rise along with music being dynamic, you wont be seeing anywhere close to 2800 watts at all. You literally just need to upgrade your front battery or just add another battery in the back along with the big 3 and you should be golden. You ain't got to be smart a$$ .. I know I can't run 2500 off stock electrical.. I don't really want to have to upgrade my alternator though. I planned on buying batteries.. I didn't want to go over 2k.. It'll probably be 2800 rms total so I'm gonna get an alternator.. It's a 2007 silverado 4.8 what size alternator do I need?
In that airspace?.. after doin it quick and dirty, 2 4" ID sch 40 pvc around 19" long oughta do it. That's around 2.95ft3 net, kinda big IMO.. once again that's quick and dirty, no bracing and driver displacement guessed around .15[/quote
.. The 23" long ports displace about .3 cubes right? So to get the 2.25 internal I'd have to build my box to 2.55 internally to get the 32hz? Do I need bracing? Do I just use square prices to brace? I always see rounded off bracing and I feel I'd get the displacement off.. No I haven't built the box.. I need to know what all displacement ill have before I can build it. I'm not trying to mess this up
