Use the ports EXTERNAL diameter when figuring displacement, I get about .4ft3. As far as the bracing goes, just figure it as best as you can and add that amount, don't forget the driver displacement as well. It's probably .12-.15ft3 so it'll change tuning... you're building this thing, just do your best to end up with 2.25ft3 internally and the dual pvc ports listed at 23" long will put you around 32 hz

Ok... My sub displaces .194

The 23" long 4" pvc displaces .3345

( you did take thickness of pvc into tuning I figure that's what u were saying)

I need to know what my gross is gonna be so I can tweak the size of my box so I can start cutting.

I have access to 10" 8" and 6" pvc also.. I know 6" would prob have to be too long so couldnt I use 8" at the same length? And what if I used 10"

I hate quoting myself... the internal port diameter is used in tuning... the volume/displacements are up to you... read^^^^

Yea I know.. I thought you said 4" pvc was 3.75 on inside I just misread earlier I just noticed 4" is 4.5" diameter.. My bad..

You got me lost now... build to 2.25ft3 net and a pair of 3.75" id ports at 23" long tune to about 32hz... it's pretty simple actually.

Oh ok.. I told y'all this is my FIRST ported box.. I was thinking the tune would be the same as long as you had the same port volume ??? I just thought a bigger diameter port could be shorter .. I've never tuned a box. You said you'd model my box and I appreciate what you did but they're too long, and I don't wanna stick them or the box. So.. It sounds like y'all are saying a bigger diameter port would have to be longer so my theory was wrong. So what do I have to do to get the port short enough.. How far do they have to be from thewall?
