How Many of You Are SAVED?

I can really really see how people get turned away from the church settings of today. There are MANY false prophets on TV. Some practice speaking in tongues. Some people in the audience jump for joy and shout just because they see others do it, and they think that's whay there supposed to do.

The Lord's church is in very bad shape. It's sad. Homosexual preists, pastors that only teach what you can get from God, etc.

Then you have fifty million denominations, of the which Paul the apostle told us not to do. We are not supposed to have divisions amongst us. We're supposed to examples and lights for the world to see and on ONE ACCORD, yet Muslims look WAY more disciplined than we do.

So....I can see why so many of you are turned away from the church setting. And those that turned you guyz away due to their false teachings and practices will be severly punished. But IMO, that still doesn't excuse your unbelief in Jesus as the Savior, and you will not be spared if you take your current belief to the grave. If you deny Him before men, He will deny you before His Father in heaven (in my belief).

But IMO, Jesus was, is, and will always be the ONLY way to heaven. So I respectfully disagree //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

LOL! So should I tell you I believe speaking in tongues is a legitimate gift of the Holy Spirit just as much today as it was in Paul's day? Or that we dance in the isles at my church? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif People will mimic what they don't yet understand to try and not look out of place no matter where you go. This tends to be a trait of those new to their faith and still learning. None of us became mature in any area overnight. Note justifying being fake mind you, but there is still something to be said for having grace for the growth process. Having said that, I do understand you're overall point. There is a lot of hypocricy out there.

You're right, this is very unfortunate. On the bright side though, we can still focus on our common beliefs and continue the work of God's church... though we may each go about it a little differently.

I don't think anybody likes to be told, "Hey you're going to hell", but it is a stark reality that there is one road to Heaven. Jesus stated, "no one comes to the Father, except through me." Christians view sharing this truth as warning the passengers of a train headed for a collapsed bridge of the danger ahead. Those who hear it tend to take it as an attack on their charater. But if Christ was trying to find fault with us just so he could condemn us, then why did he leave Heaven, take on all the frailties of our flesh, endure our rejection and ridicule and then die brutally without fault to pay for our sins? That's an awefully huge sacrifice for a killjoy that just wants to take out His anger on us.

I find it disturbing that after Jesus died for so many, and took so so much abuse for the love of man....and then people totally flat out disrespect him.

I see it on this forum quite often. They say stuff like "Jesus f*ing Christ", " For Christ's sake", "Holy f*ing Christ", etc. How could anyone say his name in vain like that after all that He did for them?

And even though I don't believe in Christmas, I still respect what it's 'supposed' to stand for. And people still can't have the decency to say the "Christ" part in the word "Christmas". There is a thread right now called something to the effect of 'What did you get for Xmas'.. What the heck is 'Xmas'. They'll celebrate the holiday as far as the presents are concerned, but want nothing to do with the Christ aspect of it. To me, that's very very very disrespectful.

I couldn't even begin to know how to put myself in the Lord's position. Knowing that I died for the very same people that deny me. Knowing that I died for the same people that won't even thank me when the wake up for letting them live to see another day to get right with me. Knowing that I died for the same people that won't even thank me at the dinner table for having food to nourish their bodies.

This is a sad world. Again, this is my belief, and is meant with no disrespect to others...

Believe me I hear you. All the same things gall me that gall you. What I have to remember is that I was there to once to. I didn't understand. Christ endured some of the most undecent ridicule from the people he loved the most...yet he never opened his mouth to scorn them, because his love was that pure, and that far sighted.

His unbelievable grace is just one of the things that makes Him so beautiful.

^^ retard should start off with a little kent hoven. i dont believe him 100% but it's a start

Who you callin' a retard!?! LOL!

Not very familiar with Kent Hoven, but what little I've read seems to be pretty intriguing. Corralates with a lot of other findings I've studied. Can't reccomend untill I've delved a little deeper. Appreciate the heads up though. I found a site that has some of his stuff.

That's admirable, believe me. I'm not belittling being a good person or having a good heart. But it's not up to the creation to tell the creator what should be "good enough". God's not trying to argue with you and niether am I. He know's NONE of us could be "good enough" that's why he came and did it Himself. That way His perfect love for us and His perfect justice for sin could both be satisfied. It's not condemnation and it's not work, it's a gift. I'm not trying to beat you with it, just help you see it for what it is.

That's like saying that gravity is stupid. Dude the evidence is all around you. Despite how you feel about God or religion, the more science learns the more the only logical explanation left is intelligent design. To say there's nothing more then us just flys in the face of common sense. You use the term stupid, I just call it willful ignorance. No offence bro, but just cuz you don't want to believe in something doesn't mean it isn't there.
Just because you want to belive something doesnt mean it is there.

I never went looking for something to believe in. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I certainly don't believe what I believe because I wanted to believe in something, or just HAD to have something to believe in because I was just too weak to make it on my own. I believe because He's proved Himself to me....over and over again.

wow dude, ease up one the word believe

^^^ My point exactly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Sure, people and places mentioned in the bible may have existed. I'll even give you this one; Jesus lived aswell. However, that doesn't make him the son of God. And that doesn't mean all the events and details of those events are true. There's just as much science against the bible as there is for it.

So the bible may have existed but it isn't accurate or necessarily true?

I'm a good person with a good heart, that should be enough. And if it isn't then I'll burn in hell. I'm growing weary of the endless arguing of religion.

Do you believe in a heaven and hell?

Or are you saying worst case scenario, if heaven and hell does exist then being a decent person will hopefully get you there and if not you burn in hell?
